Whoa-hoh! It's true, for in reverse, my smile begins to look much worse. |
| My cheeks fall up, my eyelids, too; I get a whole new point of view. |
| The law of gravity is gone: there's cloudbanks where there should be lawn, |
| The birds are flying on their backs, and where the sky once was are tracks. |
| But what if all of us, like me, stood on their heads? What might they see? |
| For if the strange became the norm, I thought the world would all conform! |
| No one would stand out from the rest, so nothing would be gained, I guessed. |

Standing on your head feels good when you're in a funny mood! |
| But Someone's bound to come along, tell you that you've got it wrong, |
|
Lift you out of that position, set you upright on the cushion. |
| I wonder. Can it be a fact that we're afraid, and so don't act |
| To change our views, our whole perspective? There's a laudable objective! |
