On the 15th of December
December 15, 2002

We got one of those breakfast desires in us this morning. Bill was up at 6:30 this morning, then went back to bed at 7:30 which woke me up. Then I got up while he went back to sleep till 9:45. I was glad to see him sleeping in, he needed it. After he made coffee and we drank it while doing computer work, we finally talked about getting some breakfast. I had forgotten to get eggs at the store again when we went there last night, and we were tired of having cereal, so I suggested Frisch's for the breakfast buffet. The suggestion reached his stomach before his brain and he said that was an excellent idea. Off we went at 11:30 trying to beat the church rush. So, we felt pretty stuffed all day. I was cooking beef stew in the crockpot and could hardly stand to smell it all day being so full from breakfast.

I'd been wanting to remake my Sims page so that took up the majority of the day. Oh, the intricacies of frames. Same with Bill, he was trying out a hard drive that his boss found in the dumpster at the library. Soon as he put the hard drive in the machine and turned it on, the most awful burning smell erupted. He turned that sucker off in a hurry. After taking the hard drive out of the machine, he's been trying to get Windows 95 that's on that extra machine we have to connect to our DSL. He's not a happy camper on that issue. The solution is eluding him. But he did get his Sysquest machine to work again. Computers are weird but such wonderful things.

What Bill and I would like to be doingIf we had our druthers, this is what we would really be doing. Maybe one of these days Bill and I will take off during Christmas and not be around for the usual festivities. We'll find someplace that has a private hot tub on the beach, kick back, and languish for hours till our skins were like wrinkly prunes.
