| Florida Dreaming. As you've noticed, I revamped the first page of this website. People kept missing the fact that there were links down the left side of the page so I decided to make it clearer.
But as I was sifting through my .jpg's and .gif's I came across two Florida pictures that I meant to share with the world after we got back from our last Florida trip to buy my new used car from our landlord. Yeh, kinda weird, buying a car from our landlord and having to go to Florida to retrieve it but, hey, any reason to conjure up a road trip to Florida is okey dokey with Amy and me. It was hard to pass up such a good price on a Honda like the landlord gave us. When we are there we like to stay at this hotel. It's a Red Roof Inn. Not that HAVE to stay at a Red Roof Inn. It's a nice enough place as hotels go. It's just that it's more affordable since it's NOT on the beach and it's close to Dan and Jeania and grandchild but, most of all, we love the pool there. It has atmosphere. It has beauty. It is luxuriating and always warm. It's never been crowded. We dream about that pool. Sigh. So, here I am dreaming about it again. So, we scooped up Hannah, my granddaughter, and brought her back to the pool to swim with us. That's Amy playing with her. Hannah is a certified water baby at four years old. Before four even. Her parents, grateful for a bit of a reprieve from parenting, came over later and had a swim with us, too. We didn't stay long at all in Florida this time. Only one day and night. We had enough expenses from just buying the car. But as much as I love being in Florida, I'm also realizing that I'm tired of going to the same place. I've gone to the Clearwater/Palm Harbor area so much that it's not as entertaining anymore. Yeh, hard to believe, eh? But it's the area where my granddaughter lives so if I want to see her as she grows I guess I've gotta go there. Oh, poor me. Wanna come with me sometime? I can show you the house that John Travolta just built. He lives right beside Hulk Hogan. You just might see Hulk at the beach. We did. It turned out not to be "tree day" as I suspected. Computer work got us both stuck at the computer. Just like we do every day. I'll dig around and put out something else today. More candles in the window, I think. I've always wanted to put candles in every window. This house has lots of windows. It would be a challenge. Hmmm, I've got to go to Wal-Mart to take back some slacks I bought. Maybe I'll stock up on candles. Electrical cords, too. What color do I want? All green? Or red? Or mellow yellow like a real candle glow. |
