On the 7th of December

This has really not been a happening day. I wonder why anyone would want to read the goings-on of anybody's usual day? This day is more like my usual one. Nuttin' happening. Just the usual all day long computer fascination with occassional stops for meals and bathroom breaks. With hubby home for the weekend, I don't do my usual watching of the VCR. Rarely do I watch anything in real time, love those commercial skipping VCR's.

Lights around the garageBill and I did trek outside to put up my new old-fangled lights. The colored bulbs that are humongous. To both of us, they are the real Christmas lights. I don't know why I avoided them till now. Ah, I know. They were too expensive before. We decided to frame the garage door instead of the front porch since we don't ever go in the front door. We alway use the garage. Now these lights will double as a homing device for the cars. Bill put a timer on them so we don't have to step outside in the cold garage to plug and unplug them. That's my hubby. Always has a technology trick for everything.

Mr. Fuzzy Tree is still sitting in the living room unadorned. He let down his branches nicely overnight and we've discovered that I know how to pick a damn good looking tree. But I didn't feel up to decorating it yet today. It's been another bright, sunny day and twice as sunny with the sunlight reflecting off the still snow-covered ground but I'm not as bright as a bunny as I was yesterday. I think I wore myself out. We shall eat well, though. Leftover spaghetti and meatballs I made yesterday when I was feeling in top form. Bill swears that my leftovers are better than the first time around. Gotta love a guy who thinks like that.

Pink poinsettiaBut the poinsettia is real purty. These pink ones edged with white caught my eye and I had to bring it home. Be careful, for those of you who have cats that like to chew on plants. Poinsettia leaves are lethal.

Hmmm, see if a person really wants to they can find anything to talk about. Hope you come back for tomorrow.
