To be Sagittarius is a wondrous thing to be.
We are the happy ones, the circus ones, you see.
We see life as something to be embraced and fully hugged.
Living life with all its fun, unfettered and unplugged. -- Jo Hudgins
When you look up into the night sky, this is what we look like: Kinda looks like our head got whiplashed but we survive because of our free spirit. The sun passes through this constellation from late December to late January, so it is best viewed in the nights of summer time. If you'd put a line at the bottom of this constellation, it looks rather like a teapot.
Astrology.com has this to say about us. "Sagittarius, the ninth Sign of the Zodiac, is the home of the wanderers of the Zodiac. It's not a mindless ramble for these folks, either. Sagittarians are truth-seekers, and the best way for them to do this is to hit the road, talk to others and get some answers. Knowledge is key to these folks, since it fuels their broad-minded approach to life. The Sagittarian-born are keenly interested in philosophy and religion, and they find that these disciplines aid their internal quest. At the end of the day, what Sagittarians want most is to know the meaning of life, and if they accomplish this while feeling free and easy, all the better." -- Boy, do I agree with this whole paragraph! No wonder I am haunted by the meaning of life question.
It goes on to say, "Archers are outgoing, enthusiastic and tend to overstep their bounds as a result, falling prey to the likes of foot-in-mouth disease. They can talk so fast (and so much) that they don't process the full weight of what they're saying, leading to the occasional hurt feeling. Often, however, their words serve to inspire others and to get things going. Yes, Sagittarians are straight-ahead folks who are curious, spiritual and true believers." -- In my later years, I have come to understand this foot-in-mouth feature more fully as I have noticed that I tend to do just that. In my quest to get to the bottom of things, words just pop out of my mouth and ony when I see the reaction on people's faces do I realize that I've hit a sensitive spot. So, please, be easy on us, we are just being ourselves and not meaning harm.
Sagittarius is ruled by the Planet Jupiter. The Element associated with Sagittarius is Fire which I find surprising for me because I am such a water baby. If you were to think of your Sun Sign (your zodiac sign) as your soul--your inner personality and potential--and your Moon Sign (my moon sign is Sagittarius) as your heart--your emotional core--then you could say that your Rising Sign (mine is Scorpio) is your physical self or the face you present to the world. I like what this website had to say about my Moon Sign.
"Friendship means a great deal to you, perhaps even more than love or romance. For you to be happy, your mate must be your best friend and encourage your aspirations and ideals. You also need a great deal of emotional freedom and mobility." -- Ah, ha, this is why Bill and I get along so well. He is my best friend and he has always encouraged my aspiration to be a writer. And our ideals are identical.
This is funny, what she has to say about Sagittarius and Scorpio (what Bill is) as a pair. "Scorpio is a Water Sign, and Sagittarius is a Fire Sign. Sagittarius is the spontaneous partner, heading in the direction their whim leads them, while Scorpio's motives are more subdued, less easy to read. Even if they run into misunderstandings or misinterpretations of each other's motivations, crisis can be averted. If these love mates agree that their relationship is significant, their devotion and affection will see them through." -- Seems to be working for us.
Okay, well, that's enough of that. Hope you enjoyed. One could spend all day on this stuff, for sure. I see Kaboodle has ventured outside. The rain must have stopped for now. It was freezing rain through the night but it didn't build up on the trees and streets. Just some on the windshields. Bill is a happy camper with his innovative tarp car cover. Looks like we'll be enjoying a Bahama evening at the Bahama Breeze. Yeah!
I'll leave you with a little homework assignment. Another nicely done page on what it means to be Sagittarius: Sagittarius, The Archer.
