Today was Hair Cutting Day for Bill. I think he didn't believe me when I said I was ready to cut his hair. He looks like a different man now. See.
We haven't been to a Blockbuster Video store in three years. So, today was also Pick-Out-A-Movie day. There's something enchanting about picking out a video with your honey. And when you haven't done it in three years, it's even more special. And when you have a Buy One, Get One Free coupon, that makes it even more very special. The library here has lots of current and great movies to check out. But the problem with that is that they are always checked out. Rarely can you find one on the shelves that you want to watch. Sometimes, if you are lucky, you'll get there before the shelving cart is picked over and find some undiscovered treasure. I found Moulin Rouge that way. Now, I hadn't really had the inclination to watch Moulin Rouge but when I found it on the shelving cart, well, it was like found money and I had to take it to the checkout counter. I was surprised to find that I did like the movie very much although seeing Nicole Kidman singing was bizarre. She did photograph very well, lots of makeup helps. But it was Ewan McGregor that got to me. Wowzers! What a cutie he was in that movie. Two weeks ago when I was at the Muckheads' place I mentioned having just watched Moulin Rouge. There was one song that kept cruising through my head nonstop and I was pretty sure it was from that movie. I thought they might know it. Boy, did they know it! They absolutely love that movie and watch it once a week. They said it was very similar to their love story. Todd went to his computer and started playing some of the songs from the movie and quickly came upon the one that was hounding me. Thankfully, my brain's at peace now. The song finally passed. Kinda like constipation of the brain. Stays with you too long so you're not enjoying it anymore. I have still been so tired today from all the festivities, all the company, all the cooking, all the game playing, all the dishloading and unloading, and all the laughing. There is such a thing as having too much fun, I guess. That sounds like a good note to stop on and go in the bedroom to watch one of the movies we got. We've decided upon The Mothman Prophecies. So, c'ya till the next round.
