We acquired a digital camera a month or so ago and I have finally gotten around to downloading the pictures off of it and wanted to share them with whoever is still reading this spot.
Hmmm, let's see. First the evil cat. Bill is in a constant struggle to keep the cats off his things. Both of our cats had taken to sleeping in Bill's computer chair. Since the poor man is trying to keep the cat allergy down, he didn't like to see them in his chair leaving all kids of white fluff behind. The white fluff was Kaboodle's. So, Bill finally thought of a way to keep them off. He wrapped a flat piece of styrofoam with aluminum foil and lays it in the chair when he is gone. It's been working pretty well when he remembers to put it there.
Kaboodle took to lying on top of the two milk crates that he's using as storage space for his various computer articles. So, Bill spread a piece of foil on top of that. You can see how effective that was today. The picture to the left shows that. You can't see the foil but it's under her. That and a computer mouse. Now if this was just a one time fluke or if she'll continue to do this--because she really LOVED to sit up there before the foil--I don't know. We'll see in the upcoming days.
This cat takes every opportunity to sit upon anything new and different. Hence, her posing on the CD burner. . Bill doesn't want a lot of cat fuzz falling down on his stuff. Sorry, honey, but around here that's inevitable.
Dusky, on the other hand, sleeps behind my computer monitor. He thinks he's invisible back there. I caught him the other day in front of my lightbox. The lightbox gives off a lot of heat at the top and they LOVE to lie on top of that, knobs sticking up and all. Dusky isn't a high leaper so it's been difficult for him to get up on top the 4-foot high box. So, when I had the lights on, he did what he could to get the heat. He laid in front of the box as close as he could. I guess later he figured he ought to treat his SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder), too, so he turned his nose right into the light.
One more cat highlight. Kaboodle tolerates Addy's affections amazingly well. Ever since Addy first laid eyes on Kaboodle, she has been fascinated with this cat. K is the only cat that puts up with a lot of fondling and petting. I think K helped Addy learn how to crawl and walk since Addy was so intent on following the cat around so she could pet her. Once Addy found out that she could take more liberties with K, well, that was a happy day for her. For Addy, not Kaboodle. But Kaboodle doesn't walk away. She lies herself down and puts up with it almost infinitely. There's been only two times that K hasn't liked all the attention and did give Addy a slight scratch. Kaboodle does have her limits and Addy needs to learn them.
