Things to Catch Up On 2

Let's see. Todd and Amy bought Bill a little waterfall pool during the summer. We had it on the deck but when it got colder we had to bring it in so it wouldn't freeze the water line. Well, the pool looked empty so Bill scoured the Internet and found some plastic koi that could be put in it. They have an opening in their mouth so you can squeeze it and when you let go their insides fill up with water and float. Plastic koi to decorate the pool

He ordered six of two different patterns but they sent him six with all one pattern. So, he suggested that I paint a couple with my acrylics. We weren't sure if the acrylic paint would come off in the water. After letting the two fish dry for a week, Bill slipped them in. They seem to be holding up. The white one is pretty accurate if I may say so. Trouble was, though, that soon some interest in the fish pond got generated in the bears who live in the living room. One evening we came up to the kitchen from our computer room and caught Pendleton in the act of fishing for his dinner.Gone fishin'

Next on the list are the deer that came into our yard. We finally had a camera at the ready and was able to get some shots of them. This camera isn't as good on zoom shots so one of the photos are a bit blurry. It was so neat to see deer grazing in the yard. First they were in our yard briefly, then they hopped the low wire fence and went to the neighbor's yard to the right of us. They spent a lot of time at the back of the yard and then the two fawns worked their way up to the house where there was more interesting vegetation to nibble on.Two fawns

And then one of them came over to the fence to check out our neighbor's fllowers. Guess he liked them since he stayed and ate a few. He was right up by our deck so I got a good view of him. They checked out everything they were interested in then went back to the end of the yard where there mother was. The neighbors came out to get a good view of them, too.By the fence
